
Lynn E. Bannon

A 20-year communications veteran, Lynn is a long-time associate of Momentum Media PR, offering strategic planning, writing and media relations support. Lynn previously worked as an account director at boutique PR firm CGPR in Marblehead, Massachusetts, managing half of the agency’s accounts and driving several successful new business initiatives. She also served as a vice president in the Boston office of Shandwick Golin/Harris, a global PR firm, working mainly with public affairs and consumer products clients. She has also managed her own independent practice for many years.
Some companies Lynn has worked with over her long career include Royal Robbins apparel, Rockport, Adventure Medical Kits, Digital Equipment Corp., Reebok, Dyson (vacuum cleaners), the World Shoe Association, Cape Cod Chips, Guest Quarters Suites, the Highland and Islands trade association (promoting single malt scotch), Eureka tents and sleeping bags, Silva electronic skiing and running gear, and Yubashoes Snowshoes. She executes PR programs that include trade media relations, trade show PR, general and specialty consumer media relations, new product launches, grass roots initiatives and special events. For several clients, she has managed corporate and crisis communications during key company milestones such as mergers, layoffs, new corporation directions and lawsuits. She coaches top executives on handling interviews and developing key messages.
Lynn has worked with a variety of not-for-profit organizations, experience that enhances her ability to serve consumer clients in support of their charitable partnerships and initiatives. Her services include training local non-profit organizations on how to handle media relations and special events, and helping them craft a clear case for financial and cause support and a viable development plan. She also worked with the U.S. Fund for UNICEF, facilitating a workshop to refine programs to fight HIV/AIDS in Africa. In addition, she conducted global interviews on behalf of the Gates Foundation-funded Malaria Vaccine Initiative.
Lynn spent four years as a management analyst with the Metropolitan District Commission, a state parks agency in Boston, handling high-profile projects that included intensive community and media relations, along with regular interaction with other government agencies. She also represented the agency on the board of a local environmental non-profit organization.
Lynn has a Juris Doctor and a Master’s degree in public administration from Suffolk University in Boston and a Bachelor of Arts in political science and foreign languages (French, Spanish, Russian) from Ripon College in Ripon, Wisconsin.
