Social + Digital Media Specialist– Responsible for supporting both the President and the Momentum team on key accounts and in daily operations

In this role, the Social + Digital Media Specialist will build consumer awareness, engagement, website traffic and revenue by strategically exploiting all aspects of the digital PR and social media marketing landscapes.

The Social + Digital Media Specialist will be accountable for all aspects of project management, including:

  • short and long-term planning
  • setting goals and success metrics
  • campaign launches, maintenance, and reporting
  • producing / exceeding results in line with agency and client expectations.

Qualified candidates will have proven experience with digital and social media and should be self-motivated to stay on the leading edge of digital PR and all aspects of brand communications. Prior agency experience within a PR or brand/marketing communications agency setting required.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications:

  • Excellent writing skills, with the proven ability to create compelling content that is conducive for social media and blog platforms: creative, concise, audience-driven, and conversational in style.
  • Strong, highly organized project management skills
  • Proven ability to adapt to brand voice per client as appropriate.
  • Experience with digital influencer outreach, programs and platforms
  • Must be social-media savvy. Experience using social media platforms – including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, and Pinterest – to help promote a brand or business is required.
  • Experience generating informative and visual/at-a-glance analytic reports to demonstrate channel performance.
  • Experience using social media application and scheduling tools (i.e. Hootsuite, Sprout Social, others).
  • Incredible organizational and multi-tasking skills: ability to juggle multiple projects, clients, and priorities simultaneously.
  • Competency with visual design tools required.
  • Flexibility to work well independently, as well as part of a small, close-knit team.
  • Highly motivated to achieve results and to stay ahead of social media success metrics, results, and trends.
  • 2-5 years of agency experience; experience as voice of brand/s through social platforms

Accountabilities:

  • Create compelling, audience-driven content for a variety of social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube, Snapchat and more.
  • Manage team members in creating, planning, and scheduling content across social media platforms, ensuring that content is on-brand and drives engagement.
  • Engage in online conversations on behalf of clients, supporting and building relationships with existing and potential customers, bloggers, key influencers, media, and like-minded brands.
  • Create, monitor, and evaluate paid social posts/campaigns, including promoted posts and advertisements on social platforms, in order to achieve specific goals and objectives.
  • Use measurement and analytical tools to create and present weekly and monthly performance reports for clients, continually finding ways to improve on social metrics through testing and new initiatives
  • Create and manage social media promotions — primarily multi-brand sweepstakes and daily giveaways – including brainstorming ideas, creating verbiage/materials, developing action plans, and communicating with promotional partners.
  • Create and edit strategic social media action plans and content guidelines for clients.

Client and Facing Operations

  • Attending and participating in client calls
  • Attending and participating in media-facing events – some travel required
  • Attending client visits, meetings, and media visits in various locales
  • Overseeing, managing, and executing all aspects of media events

Agency Development

PR – Senior Account Manager

Purpose

The purpose of this role is to actively manage media relations and oversee and execute day-to-day responsibilities, tasks, and projects for selected accounts.  The Senior Account Manager will be accountable for all aspects of project management, short and long-term planning, setting goals and meeting expectations, campaign launches and maintenance, and producing or exceeding results in line with agency and client expectations.

In this role, the Senior Account Manager will act as a representative of Momentum Media PR and our clients’ brands.  As such, qualified candidates will possess a personable sense of confidence as well as a personal passion for an active lifestyle.  This role is both client and media facing.
Structure of Momentum Media PR Team

As a boutique agency, our team requires careful calibration and an active role from all team members in every aspect of agency life.  This is a senior level position that will include all levels of account work.  In this role, the Account Manager may work as closely with the President as he/she may with an intern or entry level colleague.  Qualified candidates will have a proven background in working independently as well as part of a close-knit team.

Accountabilities

Media Relations (75% of Role)

  • Plan campaign with client or supervisor, setting goals and drafting roadmap to achieving desired results
  • Consider big picture targets such as broadcast and mainstream consumer media, as well as endemic/vertical titles
  • Compile contacts from existing media lists and databases, while considering new contacts and appropriate outlets to include in campaign outreach
  • Develop compelling communications and thorough pitch/press materials relevant and of value to selected media targets
  • Launch or execute campaign outreach, including follow-up, while bridging new relationships and reaching new contacts
  • Respond with urgency to all incoming media requests for information, images, product
  • Participate and execute all daily reactive and proactive media outreach for clients
  • Adjusting campaigns midstream as necessary
  • Delivering and tracking results for up-to-the-minute and monthly reporting
  • Oversee planning and execution of key media-facing events, including tradeshows
  • Direct team members in supporting roles as necessary

  • Creation of yearly PR plans in line with marketing goals and integrated marketing plans
